“Gay, Straight, Retarded, Why do we have to put labels on everything?” IDK title - Misfits saves me
As much as I'm on board with Frank and Flo and the crack, and as enjoyable as it is, it doesn't quite fill the void. (Not that I'm not gagging for next saturday's clips because I AM *thanks ekp*).
Thankfully this week brought the SparkleOverDose that is Misfits episode 2.3. Hello Simon, let me put you in every pairing imaginable and watch you flail and conquor. Nathan/Simon=ComedyWin. It's so quotable it's ridiculous except there are very few situations in life where you can say things like, “You think I risked my life travelling through the dimensions of time so I could sniff your knickers?” But I suppose I could try, “We can just cuddle, and when you’re ready we can do some dry humping.”
Also, I'm now enjoying Merlin purely as a basis for Morgana/Morgeuse incest squeee, it's something about the hushed tones and the staring into each other's eyes and the circling each other like tigeresses. They may as well be purring at each other. Is there fic on this? I'm off to search. And if there happens to be any Merlin/Arthur/Gwain threesome fic along the way, I wont be complaining.
... so I googled (just to be thorough) and there's slash. yay. There's even one called All That Matters (by Janine) - I don't think I can resist it but I'm scared to read it because it's likely my expectation of AWZ-inspired merlin-femslash will be too much to live up to. *Takes a deep breath..."

OMG Future!Simon is AWESOME!!! I've been contemplating when is too soon to rewatch Thursday's ep. I need more Future!Simon in my life. Though I must admit Nathan's my fave and I would ship him with everyone and everything but :) he does that himself anyway!
I think I DID quote almost every Nathan/Simon line to Pet in Skype while I was watching it. Nathan is such a smooth operator. And I'm taking his total fail with Kelly at the end as a sign that he is meant for other things :P. I literally found out about Misfits 3weekends ago (I'd heard the name but it wasn't until I heard the term *superpowers* logged in my brain that I looked into it) and I watched all of series one and the first of series two on 4OD in a single day! It's faboo.
And O-M-G Merlin! They just saved it all up and my brain nearly exploded when everyone found out about Morgana and waiting for the next episode might just kill me. I can't wait to see what happens and seriously, Arthur needs to know about Merlin or, as is my stance, ADMIT HE ALREADY KNOWS. *ahem*
I don't know if you've had a look around IJ but I follow Merlin Fanworks on IJ ( http://asylums.insanejournal.com/merlin_fanworks/ )and there's a couple others I should probably find out too.
Are you on LJ? I've only just established an account there so I need to actually watch some comms there instead of just sneaking in to read fic from time to time.
Hahaha - I almost forget the sister slash because the BBC seem to be fully embracing it :P I thought for a while they kept calling eachother sister to try, unsuccessfully to counteract the slash effect but it's sooo not working!

Literally, Future!Simon is making my toes curl he's so fab.
I love that you watched every episode in one day. Did your life explode? It's been ages since the first season and I've been dying waiting for it to start up again. Nathan does win everytime, he completely makes the show. But I loved Kelly's slo-mo WalkOfPower and kind of fell in love with Present!Simon the moment he admitted buying the BSG boxset and his face at the beginning with the bald fanny, + Nut Allergy war is hilarious. Too much awesome in that episode - go rewatch already!
And Merlin, I know right! I was practically hyperventilating at the end, next saturday is so far away. I iplayered it this morning and I wish I'd waited until, like next saturday lunchtime, so I wouldn't be mush for a whole week now. Hopefully merlin fanworks will sustain me, thanks for that. I'm not on LJ, just being all lurky from time to time. You know, the usual.

Oh I have been slowly falling in love with present!Simon anyway because he is adorable and I love the way everyone's 'you're the geek, you should know this stuff!' and how he's opening up to the others and no longer appears to be the psycho who will eventually kill everyone (come on - after he killed another social worker you thought it didn't you!). Nathan is just brilliant, he's so gobby and just such a prat and a bloody charmer with it. It might be those eyes that makes me forgive him.
Watching it all in one day was a bit...mad wasn't it! I was sewing the entire time so it was just so easy to click on the next one and the next.... Of course it then meant when I watched Ep 2 it was a bit weird waiting for 3 - in fact I rewatched the preview bit and the clips of the kiss about a 1000 times because I had started to ship those two anyway!
The nut allergy bit was fan-bloody-tastic. I can't think of a better battle, complete with nathan cradling Simon then being pushed away and the slow-motion throwing of the nut. *giggles* It's pathetically believable and fun.
I now I have to stop, because it's snowing and I'm going to try and blag my way out of the office.

I would comment on Merlin and the rest, but then you went and mentioned "AWZ-inspired merlin-femslash" and my brain exploded with possibilities, so now everytime I try to say something cohesive, all I can think of is lots of images of Morgana and Isabelle trying to out-evil each other with sexual tension galore and Morgeuse seducing Vanessa... sorry, there I go again, drooling.

Seriously you two, I'm trying to look all bznz-like and sensible at work, or at least, look like I'm working, but I've got the squeee on one hand and the melting pot of drool-inducing femslash on the other and professional goes out the window! I need to get better at this.
